Privacy Policy
Famile is a private space for one family. This policy explains what we store, why, who can see it, and how you remove it. We keep it short because the product is simple: your data is visible to the members of your family space and to nobody else.
1. Who we are
Famile is operated by Ardiant Utomo, Indonesia ("we"). Contact: hello@famile.pro.
2. What we collect
| Data | Why | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | Sign-in by one-time code; it is your account identifier | Members of your family space (shown on your profile) |
| Name, relation, birthday, profile photo (optional) | Your member profile; birthdays power reminders | Your family space |
| Photos and videos you upload, captions, albums, tags | The gallery and timeline | Your family space |
| Notes and checklists | Personal notes are visible only to you; shared notes to your family space | You, or your family space if shared |
| Chat messages and attachments | Family group and one-to-one chats | Participants of that chat |
| Location (only if you turn sharing on) | The family map and "last seen" | Your family space, while sharing is on |
| Reminders, likes, comments, notifications | App features | Your family space |
| Technical logs (IP address, request path, timestamps) | Security, abuse prevention and debugging; kept for up to 30 days | Us |
We do not collect contacts, advertising identifiers or analytics profiles, and we do not use third-party trackers.
3. Location
Location sharing is off by default and is a per-person choice. While it is on, the app sends your position about every 15 minutes when it is open. We keep only the latest position, not a history. When you turn sharing off, the stored position is deleted immediately.
4. Where data is stored and who processes it
- Hosting and database: Railway (servers in Singapore). Photos and videos are stored in a private object storage bucket; files are only reachable through short-lived signed links.
- Email: Resend, used solely to send your sign-in code.
- Push notifications: when enabled, Apple and Google deliver notifications to your device. Notification content is limited to titles such as "Rani commented on your post".
- Map tiles: OpenStreetMap, which receives the map area your device requests.
We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. Who can see your data
Only members of your family space. There are no public profiles, no search, and no cross-family access. Family admins can remove members and delete any photo or comment in the space, but cannot read your personal notes.
6. Children
Famile is meant to be set up by an adult family admin who invites relatives, including children, into a closed space. Admins are responsible for the members they invite and for deciding whether a child's location may be shared. We do not knowingly create accounts for children outside a family space.
7. Retention and deletion
- Delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete my account. This permanently removes your profile, your photos and videos (including the stored files), your notes, your messages, your reminders and your comments. If you are the only member, the whole family space is removed.
- Leaving a family removes you from the space; content you shared with the family stays with the family unless you delete your account.
- Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes. Sessions expire after 30 days of inactivity and can be revoked from Settings → Sign out on all devices.
- Technical logs are deleted after 30 days.
8. Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Sign-in uses one-time codes instead of passwords, with attempt limits. Every request is checked against your family membership on the server. Secrets and credentials are managed by the hosting provider and never stored in the app.
9. Your rights
You can view and edit your profile in the app and delete your account at any time. For anything else, including a copy of your data, email hello@famile.pro and we will respond within 30 days.
10. Changes
If this policy changes materially we will show a notice in the app. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version.
